Overview

Vantaca is looking for a Data Engineering Manager that wants to work in a high impact, fast-paced team that is ready to make a big impact. This individual will be responsible for helping build data products, uncover valuable business insights, and communicate key discoveries. Your work will drive better decision-making for products and customers. You will develop strong partnerships with stakeholders and work cross-functionally with product managements, engineering, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of data engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Define and implement data governance, quality, and security best practices to support business units.
Drive initiatives to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Mentor and grow the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Partner with peers and stakeholders to define and execute roadmaps that can help the function scale.

Requirements

Educational background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related analytical or engineering field.
Strong understanding of data engineering best practices, pipeline development, ETL frameworks.
Experience with Python and SQL.
Experience with cloud tools such as Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence product and business strategy at executive levels.
Experience in designing and optimizing data warehouses.
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring engineers and fostering technical excellence.
