Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced EMR Migration Analyst to support our efforts in streamlining and improving EMR migrations. This role will be instrumental in developing standardized playbooks for EMR transitions, evaluating and aligning data requirements, collaborating with clients and vendors, conducting data validation and testing, and troubleshooting migration issues.
Responsibilities

Develop EMR migration playbooks
Create and refine documentation, workflows, and best practices to support efficient and repeatable EMR migration processes

Data requirements alignment
Evaluate, define, and standardize data mapping and transformation needs in collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and clients

Client & vendor collaboration
Act as a liaison between technical teams, clients, and EMR vendors to ensure data integrity, compliance, and alignment on migration timelines

Data validation & testing
Develop and execute test plans to verify data accuracy, completeness, and consistency post-migration

Issue troubleshooting & resolution
Investigate and resolve data migration challenges, including discrepancies, system errors, and integration issues

Process optimization
Identify areas for improvement and contribute to refining workflows for future migrations
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in EMR implementations & migrations- working with EMRs, healthcare data, and system transitions
Technical Knowledge: understanding healthcare data structures, HL7/FHIR standards, and data transformation principles
Data validation expertise, with hands-on experience with data quality checks, SQL queries, and troubleshooting inconsistencies
Ability to manage tasks, timelines, and stakeholder communication effectively
Ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies and system integration challenges
Experience working cross-functionally with IT, clinical teams, and external vendors
Preferred Skills:
Experience with multiple EMRs and interoperability solutions
Familiarity with healthcare compliance and security standards (e.g., HIPAA)
Prior experience developing playbooks or standard operating procedures for EMR migrations

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $65K–$95K. We expect the ideal candidate to fall near the midpoint of this range, though final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and organizational needs.
