We are a fast-growing startup with increasing traction, seeking our first Sales Account Executive to join our remote team on a full-time basis. In this key role, you’ll drive customer acquisition and revenue growth by managing inbound leads, prospecting new business opportunities, and building relationships with clients as we scale. As you'll be our first hire in the sales space, you'll largely work with the founders to develop the sales process and expand efforts.

Following a successful seed round, led by Salesforce Ventures, our team of nine is expanding. As an early-stage startup, we’re looking for motivated team members who are adaptable and excited to shape our sales strategies across various markets. Our team brings deep expertise, with experience in patenting, publishing research, and launching enterprise products.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Inbound Sales Efforts: Engage and qualify a high volume of inbound leads, converting them into new business opportunities. We sell to law firms, startups, enterprises and universities.
  • Prospect and Generate Leads: While focusing on inbound leads, identify additional potential customers through outreach and networking. This role would be primarily targeting law firms & startup companies.
  • Conduct Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling product demonstrations to showcase the value of our solutions to prospective customers.
  • Manage Pipeline: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecasting sales activities and outcomes.
  • Build Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Negotiate and Close Deals: Lead negotiations and close sales, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the customer and our company.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work with marketing and product teams to align on go-to-market strategies and share insights on customer needs and market trends.
  • Ensure Smooth Customer Onboarding: Coordinate with the customer success team to facilitate a seamless onboarding process.
  • Track Sales Metrics: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience with a focus on inbound lead management.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets within a startup environment.
  • Communication: Strong presentation and communication skills to influence decision-makers.
  • Sales Skills: Proficient in sales processes and methodologies, especially in managing inbound leads.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to grasp and articulate technical concepts and solutions effectively.
  • CRM Proficiency: We utilize Attio, but familiarity with CRM tools like Hubspot or Salesforce is also good.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

OTE Range: $160,000 - $200,000 per year + Equity
